Create Meaningful Morning Rituals

Here is a glimpse into my morning routine. Keep in mind, I always ask myself: ‘Is this serving me today?’ before I begin my morning routine. Also some days I have more time and some morning’s I sleep in! Below is a breakdown of my routine.

  • Bathroom

  • Brush teeth, tongue scrape, oil pull

  • Wash face, moisturize face and gua sha

  • Massage sesame oil into body

  • Get yoga outfit on

  • Give cats treats

  • Put kettle on and make lemon water and tidy kitchen

  • Pack snacks for daughter

  • 10 minute mediation (I like the Open App), breath work practice (Box breath), yoga practice

  • Make coffee

  • Get ready for day!

Some mornings if my muscles are sore, I will take a hot bath. Always listen to what your body needs. Adding onto my routine, I would like to wake earlier and journal. Along with making breakfast in the morning for my family. I will adapt to the make a delicious breakfast for family when we transition to the fall season. Like all good things, this routine is always evolving. What are some of your favorite morning rituals?
